Fortress Medical Systems and NaviGo Research Selected as SCDM 2010 Data Driven Innovation Award Finalists
Collaboration between Fortress Medical Systems and NaviGo Research Integrates Call Center Screening and EDC, Streamlining Subject Enrollment and Screening Payments in clinical trials.
MINNEAPOLIS, October 12, 2010 – Fortress Medical Systems, LLC, a leader in data management solutions for clinical research, today announced that its collaborative work with NaviGo Research has been selected as one of five finalists for the Society of Clinical Data Management’s (SCDM) 2010 Data Driven Innovation Award. The companies have jointly developed a solution that integrates the data collection processes of subject screening at a call center and subject enrollment at the site within the Clindex EDC software solution. This integration provides immediate communication to sites about eligible subjects, streamlining the subject enrollment process and improving data quality by reducing the errors inherent in maintaining multiple systems. In addition, screening payments are automatically calculated and distributed for payment, resulting in more accurate and timely payments while reducing resource burden.
“As a provider of clinical software solutions, we do not limit ourselves to Case Report Form driven data. Rather, we strive for practical solutions that positively impact clinical operations, whether it is patient related data or trial operations data,” said Mark C. Jones, President and Founder of Fortress Medical Systems. “We often collaborate with our clients and in this collaboration with NaviGo Research, we integrated call center screening into the EDC application, streamlining subject enrollments and screening payments. By improving the efficiency and quality of clinical operations, we are contributing to the speed and accuracy of getting medical products to market.”
“We view data management far beyond CRF data. We strive to utilize technology to streamline processes – both in data management and in clinical operations, to promote study and CRF data integrity, reduce timelines and minimize administrative burden,” said Jill Tufano, Principal Consultant of NaviGo Research. “We are lucky to have a partner such as Fortress Medical Systems, who offer a fully integrated, yet flexible system, which enables us to utilize technology to streamline processes, which are typically very tedious.”
Fortress Medical Systems and NaviGo Research will be presenting its technology for the first time at the Annual SCDM conference Monday, October 18th in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
